Species

Lipids are reported at the “species” level, meaning that total length, unsaturation and hydroxylations are calculated by summing the properties of the individual fatty acid moieties within a given molecule – e.g. PC 34:2;0 denotes a PC molecule with a total carbon length of 34, 2 double bonds and 0 hydroxylations.
