Topic

In this webinar, lipid droplets, their structure and functions, and the way the lipid structural flexibility affects lipid droplets will be introduced. Further, we will explain the role of lipid droplets in the adaptation of organisms to starvation in TANGO2-deficient cells. We will then talk about the role of lipid droplets in diabetic kidney disease. Finally, we will discuss their involvement in neurological diseases, focusing on the process of remyelination, and in the resolution of ischemic stroke.

Here is what you can learn

• Lipid structural flexibility and lipid droplets
• Role of lipid droplets in starvation
• Lipid droplets in kidney disease in diabetes
• Lipid droplets affect remyelination
• How lipid droplets influence ischemic stroke
